Ear infections

So Caleb got up in the middle of the night on Saturday night crying that his ear hurt. I got him some Tylenol but he was very restless for the rest of night and he continued to cry alot. By the morning he was just miserable. I called the dr and they agreed to call in a prescription for him but told me I had to bring him in to the office on Monday to be checked and determine if he should stay on the antibiotics. I took him in on Monday and the dr said he still had a terrible infection and that had we not started his antibiotics on Sunday his eardrum would have probably ruptured by Monday. I can't even imagine the pain he must have been in. And now I feel bad because I didn't take it that seriously at first because he is normally a kid who will freak out over a hangnail. This will teach me to take him more seriously when he complains of being in pain.
